BIOGRAPHY :
Camille Leprince is a visual artist and photographer who lives and works in Paris.
He chose photography, essentially the writing of light, to speak of shadow. His work explores the body as an object traversed by forces and intensities, sculpted by hand through long exposure and stage-like continuous light, suspended between photography and painting, between motion and stillness. Between shadow and light, a choreography of his most intimate passions. A tension between vulnerability and power, raw emotions that, as they subside, give rise to a new form of poetry.
His work has drawn clients to him. Peeping Tom, Belgium’s internationally acclaimed contemporary dance company, commissioned him to photograph Chroniques (choreography: Grabriela Carrizo). Musician Mathilde Fernandez retained him for her album cover. Fashion labels Rappaz and Dust Magazine China have sought him out for editorial campaigns. Choreographer Nicolas Huchard retained him for the visual identity of Prélude.
His 216-page monograph Le Paradis des Orages, prefaced by Cyrielle Gendron, Editorial Director of Magazine PHOTO, was published by Snap Collective in 2024. He has exhibited at L’INAPERÇU - Le Studio (solo show, Paris, 2025), La Fonderie, Galerie Amarrage, and Galerie 35-37 / Dover Street Market.

Camille Leprince est un artiste visuel et photographe qui vit et travaille à Paris.
Il a choisi la photographie — littéralement l'écriture de la lumière — pour évoquer l'ombre. Son travail explore le corps comme un objet traversé par des forces et des intensités, sculpté à la main grâce à la pose longue et à une lumière continue évoquant la mise en scène ; une œuvre suspendue entre photographie et peinture, entre mouvement et immobilité. Entre ombre et lumière se déploie une chorégraphie de ses passions les plus intimes. Une tension entre vulnérabilité et puissance, des émotions brutes qui, en s'apaisant, donnent naissance à une nouvelle forme de poésie.
Son travail a suscité l'intérêt de nombreux collaborateurs. La compagnie de danse contemporaine belge de renommée internationale Peeping Tom a fait appel à lui pour photographier Chroniques (chorégraphie de Gabriela Carrizo). La musicienne Mathilde Fernandez l'a sollicité pour la pochette de son album. Les marques de mode Rappaz et Dust Magazine China ont fait appel à lui pour des campagnes éditoriales. Le chorégraphe Nicolas Huchard lui a confié la création de l'identité visuelle de Prélude.
Sa monographie de 216 pages, Le Paradis des Orages, préfacée par Cyrielle Gendron (directrice éditoriale du magazine PHOTO), a été publiée par Snap Collective en 2024. Il a exposé à L’INAPERÇU - Le Studio (exposition personnelle, Paris, 2025), à La Fonderie, à la Galerie Amarrage ainsi qu'à la Galerie 35-37 / Dover Street Market.
